Smart devices are transforming diagnostics - Dika: AI can also support surgery

Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly present in healthcare systems around the world. Advanced technology is being used to assist doctors in diagnosing, monitoring and treating patients, bringing significant changes to the way medical care is delivered.
Doctor Qamil Dika says that these devices will be ready to provide service very soon, although the costs are prohibitive.
"The imaging service is the one that has the widest use of the latest technology, that is, through artificial intelligence, which makes a kind of diagnosis of its own. Of course, the large companies that produce these medical devices have invested tremendous amounts in installing these and in a very short time we will have many devices that, some of the medical services will challenge them ," says Dika.
In addition to imaging, specialists estimate that important developments are also occurring in surgery, where robotics supported by artificial intelligence is significantly increasing the accuracy of interventions.
"I really hope that oncology will have massive use, which would solve a major problem that our planet, humanity as a whole, has, thus promoting more diagnostics and more effectiveness in the medical treatment of these problems."
However, Dika emphasizes that technology will remain a tool at the service of the doctor and the patient, complementing and not completely replacing the role of specialists.
