IKMT intervenes in Lake Ulëza - Buildings for the natural park project are demolished
The National Inspectorate of Territory Protection (IKMT) has undertaken an intervention within the framework of the implementation of the public project "Lake Ulëza Natural Park" and the protected area surrounding it.
During the operation, several service facilities were demolished, which, according to the authorities, constituted an obstacle to the implementation of the project.
IKMT informs that the interventions were carried out to pave the way for the development of an initiative of public and environmental importance, which aims to protect and improve the natural area of Lake Ulëza.
According to the official announcement, the owners of the affected buildings have been treated through expropriation procedures in the public interest, in accordance with the legislation in force.
The project aims to preserve and enhance this natural area, as well as encourage sustainable development and promote its tourism potential.
