The functioning of the Transparency Board is suspended/ Ibrahimaj: Fuel prices have stabilized

The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, announced today that the government has decided to terminate the functioning of the Fuel Transparency Board, a mechanism that had been active for several months to monitor and control market prices.
After the government meeting, Ibrahimaj stated that the decision was made in the context of fuel prices having continuously declined in recent weeks and the market situation having stabilized.
The Minister also emphasized that the decision is also related to recent developments in the international arena.
"Today we decided to terminate the Transparency Board, which has been in operation for several months in implementation of the hydrocarbons law. There have been several months in which there have been significant fluctuations in fuel prices, and for more than two weeks now prices have been decreasing. Stock market prices have stabilized. In the geopolitical context, an agreement has been reached and the Hormuz Canal will be unblocked. The situation in the Middle East now has less uncertainty and the hydrocarbons market has stabilized. This is why we decided to terminate the operation of the Fuel Board," said Ibrahimaj.
