Rama announces new reform for the Cadastre/ "Property rights, in focus of negotiations with the EU"

Prime Minister Edi Rama participated in the regional conference on digital transformation, legal security of property and European integration.
In his speech, the head of government underlined the importance of fulfilling the closing milestones, including chapter 23, which includes property rights. He stated that new technology has brought great conveniences and helped modernize state processes.
" We have opened all the negotiation chapters and the intermediate milestones set and now we are entering the phase of closing these negotiations. Completing the intermediate milestones by Albania and defining the final milestones is an essential element, as far as the group of foundational chapters is concerned, including also chapter 23, which has to do with the judiciary and property rights is part of this chapter. For a country like ours, new technology has brought us a real blessing, because it has allowed us to make leaps. It has allowed us to see the future in a completely different way ," said Rama .
Rama further emphasized that the State Cadastre Agency will soon be reformed, with more tasks.
" Soon we will have the agency reform, we will bring more tasks under one umbrella, because having separate agencies has not helped the process and has brought more trouble. Now we have a clear and good idea on how to shape the real estate administration from A to Z by merging all agencies into 1. I will close this process very soon. I want to thank all the partners. Now we have a clear idea on how to shape the real estate agency from A to Z. We have the blessing and the curse on our heads, the European Union telling us that here you have done well and here you have done badly," said Rama.
Meanwhile, the general director of ASHK, Lorena Goxhobelli, said that the digital transformation of the cadastre is not simply a technological process, but a reform that directly affects the lives of citizens, legal security and the economic development of the country.
