Energy agreement with the US, Balluku: Happy with what Albania achieved today

Following the signing of the Albania-US agreement on liquefied gas, there was a reaction from former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Belinda Balluku. Ms. Balluku, in a post on her social networks, expressed that a historic project was signed today, for which she is happy.
In her post, Ms. Balluku writes:
"I am happy and proud of what Albania achieved today, I am proud of the extraordinary climate that Prime Minister @ediramaal has created, making the country a reference point in the region for strategic partners.
The United States is sending a clear signal of confidence in Albania through increased investment in the energy sector and involvement in strategic projects that affect not only our country, but the entire region. This confidence reflects the institutional stability, deep reforms, and real economic growth potential that Albania is demonstrating.
In this spirit, ambitious projects such as the Tropoja Wind Park with a capacity of over 600 MW, launched a few months ago, clearly demonstrate the vision to turn Albania into a regional energy hub based on sustainable sources. Meanwhile, today, the signing of two important agreements in the field of energy further strengthens this direction and consolidates the country's role as a strategic node in the Balkans. 6 billion dollars of investments position Albania as a key point for the entry and use of American liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the region, significantly increasing the country's geopolitical importance and contributing to the diversification of energy sources for Europe.
Today is the opportunity to thank Ambassador @kimberlyguilfoyle for her commitment to realizing this historic cooperation, a concrete testament to the strength of the strategic partnership and the shared vision for development and energy security in the region.
American engagement is not only financial, but brings new standards, advanced technologies and increased transparency, strengthening the business climate and attracting other international investments. This positive dynamic proves that Albania is becoming a reliable strategic partner and a factor of stability in the region.
"At a time when energy security is a global priority, this close partnership with the US places Albania in a favorable position to play a key role in the energy future of the Balkans and beyond."
