The largest agricultural fair in the country opens for 3 days, Lushnja a meeting center for farmers
The "Agricultural Days" Fair has opened for 2026, the only international fair in Albania dedicated to this sector, organized for the fifth consecutive year by Iceberg Exhibitions.
For three days in a row, the city of Lushnja, otherwise considered the granary of Albania, welcomes industry professionals, producers, suppliers, researchers and decision-makers to share knowledge, foster innovation and create collaborations. During the opening ceremony, Iceberg Exhibitions CEO, Enejda Sheku, said that this is a space dedicated to people who farm every day.
"This is the fair, whose main actor is the farmer, the farmer to be informed, to be aware of the newest innovative practices, to explore new opportunities for cooperation and partnership. In addition to the Agriculture Days Fair, we have the Agriculture Festival, because it is the moment to celebrate work, to celebrate the hope that agriculture sows every day," said Sheku.
Also present at the ceremony was the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, who emphasized that the institution he leads aims to raise agriculture to another level, to that of European standards.
"Here today are not only Albanian businesses, but we are also represented by businesses from the region, from Europe, which makes each of us exchange experiences, but also to conclude contracts between businesses, so that what we produce here has an opportunity not only in the Albanian market, but also in the international one. I want to thank you for the organization, it is an extremely excellent organization, I can say, because of the opportunity it has given the city", said the Minister.
According to representatives from Vodafone Albania, the main partner of the "Agricultural Days" fair, this is an event that brings together people, farmers and businesses, which constitute one of the most important pillars of the Albanian economy.
"At Vodafone, we believe that technology has true value only when it creates a tangible impact, when it helps businesses work smarter, more efficiently and grow sustainably."
Other Fair supporters also presented the services they offer to make farmers' work easier.
"It is a company that sells and imports agricultural inputs in bulk, it is an international company, it works in a large number of countries, over 50 countries for 90 years. We consider it one of the most special days to meet colleagues, partners and so on" - Representative from Agrimatco Albania.
"This is the third round that we are supporting Albanian businesses, to improve their image, quality, export opportunities, and with modest financial support to have a better access to products and improve their quality so that they have the opportunity to export and produce domestically in the future" - UNDP representative.
"The stand represents the medical soil analysis laboratory, managed by Urban Lab Divjakë. We offer soil analysis services to farmers, for agricultural purposes, for fertilization purposes, for crop selection purposes", Representative of Urban Lab, Divjakë.
The Fair will be open until April 30, with workshops, presentations and discussion panels from Fair supporters, the Municipality of Lushnje, the Municipality of Vlora and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
