Saranda, a destination with increasing tourist numbers - Çipa: Be careful, don't abuse the prices and the image of the country!

Saranda is experiencing a good season, with a significant increase in visitors. Tour operators report 15-25% more visitors compared to the same period a year ago, but there have been problems.
To discuss the progress of the season, but also pricing policies, a meeting was held with representatives of the tourism industry.
Operators emphasized that the priority remains to ensure a successful season by improving service and image. The importance of large and serious investments in tourism was also appreciated, while foreign investors were considered an important factor for the long-term development of the sector.
"The season is progressing at satisfactory levels. Operators exchanged information on the problems encountered in the field and measures to guarantee the continuity of services. Prices were also in focus, so as not to be abused this season" - said the President of the Tourism Industry Association in Saranda, Arben Çipa.
One of the issues discussed was the impact that protests and mass gatherings can have on tourists' perception of Albania. Çipa said that some cancellations of reservations have been noted, which remain limited. According to him, any development that affects the image of the country can also be reflected in the tourism sector.
