Peleshi meets in Athens with Plakiotakis: Greece supports Albania's European journey and strengthening parliamentary cooperation
The Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Niko Peleshi, held an official meeting in Athens with the Chairman of the Committee on European Affairs and First Deputy Speaker of the Greek Parliament, Ioannis Plakiotakis. The focus of this meeting was the strengthening of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, as well as mutual support for Albania's European integration process.
During the talks, the two officials praised the good bilateral relations and emphasized the important role that parliamentary diplomacy plays in deepening cooperation and advancing the region's European agenda.
Peleshi expressed gratitude for Greece's continued support for Albania's accession process to the European Union, considering this support as a strategic investment for the common future.
On this occasion, the head of the Assembly underlined that "the integration of Albania and the Western Balkan countries into the EU remains a key factor for greater economic development and stability, for the benefit of our citizens and the European project itself."
In closing, the meeting reaffirmed the full commitment of both parties to continue open dialogue and close parliamentary cooperation in pursuit of common European objectives.
