The Transparency Board publishes new fuel prices: Oil drops to 188 lek/liter

The Transparency Board approved this Wednesday the new fuel sales prices in the domestic market, which will enter into force on June 10, starting at 2:00 p.m.

According to the board's decision, the maximum retail price for SSH EN 590 standard diesel has been set at 188 lek per liter, while for wholesale at 176 lek per liter.

Meanwhile, gasoline will be traded at a maximum price of 171 lek per liter in retail sales and 159 lek per liter in wholesale sales.

The authorities announce that these prices will remain in force until the next meeting of the Transparency Board, where new fluctuations in the hydrocarbon market will be reflected.

The Board has reminded operators engaged in wholesale and retail fuel trading of their obligation to implement the decision, warning of administrative measures against any entity that does not respect the approved prices.

According to the official announcement, in case of violations, the authorities may decide to suspend the activity of the responsible operators.

The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy emphasize that they remain committed to protecting consumer interests and ensuring fair competition in the fuel market.
