What are the investment opportunities this summer? - July-September brings new issues of treasury bills and bonds

Citizens looking for a safe way to invest their savings will have new options over the next three months. The Ministry of Finance has published the calendar of government securities issuances for the period July-September 2026, which includes treasury bills and bonds with various maturities.
Government securities are financial instruments where citizens or investors lend money to the government for a certain period and receive interest in return. At the end of the term, they are also refunded the invested amount.
Several investment opportunities are foreseen during July, ranging from short-term bonds to multi-year bonds. Among them are 3-month and 12-month treasury bills, as well as 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10-year bonds.
In August, citizens will once again have the opportunity to participate in auctions with various securities, including 6- and 12-month treasury bills, as well as 2-, 3-, 5- and 15-year bonds.
Meanwhile, other issuances are planned for September, including bonds with longer maturities, such as 7- and 20-year ones, as well as 12-month treasury bills for those who prefer shorter-term investments.
For the average citizen, the choice depends on the purpose of the investment. Those who want to keep their money invested for a few months can choose treasury bills, while those seeking a longer-term return can orient themselves towards bonds.
Investing in government securities is considered a low-risk alternative, as it is related to state debt, but like any investment, these instruments have conditions and deadlines that should be carefully considered.
In total, during the third quarter of 2026, the government plans to issue government securities in significant amounts, giving citizens and investors various opportunities to put their savings to work.
For many families, especially those with unused savings in banks, government securities remain an opportunity to diversify the way they manage their money.
