Police measures for the Albania-Israel match: Roadblocks near "Air Albania"!

The State Police announced today the detailed plan of measures to guarantee public order and security before, during and after the friendly football match between the national teams of Albania and Israel, which will be played tonight, at 8:00 PM, at the "Air Albania" stadium in Tirana.
According to the official announcement, the plan of measures is based on the positive experience gained from the organization and management of international sports activities and aims to guarantee the smooth conduct of the activity, as well as the safety of fans and citizens.
To facilitate traffic and guarantee a security perimeter near the stadium, the State Police, in cooperation with the Tirana Municipal Police, will apply temporary restrictions on vehicle movement on several road axes, starting from 4:00 PM on June 3 until the end of the match.
The roads that will be blocked are:
· “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, from the “Laguna” fast food, near the bridge of the former Dajti Hotel;
· “Papa John Paul II” Street, at the intersection of RTSH;
· "Dervish Hima" Street, near the US Embassy;
· “Asim Zeneli” Street, near the US Embassy;
· “Themistokli Gërmenji” Street, at the beginning of the street;
· “Ismail Qemali” Street, at the intersection of RTSH;
· “Lekë Dukagjini” Street, near the former Guard of the Republic;
· “Abdyl Frashëri” Street, near the intersection of Libri Universitari;
· "Willson" Square, where traffic will be diverted towards "Sami Frashëri" Street, shortly before the end of the match.
Meanwhile, the Police announce that Elbasani Street, the Ring Road and the "Bajram Curri" Boulevard will be free for vehicle traffic.
As part of security measures, State Police officers will conduct thorough checks on fans before entering the stadium, in order to prevent the introduction of prohibited items, such as banners with racist content, fireworks, flares, pyrotechnics, metal coins, umbrellas, lighters, mobile phone chargers and other strong or dangerous items.
Police have called on fans to report to the stadium entrances starting at 6:00 PM, to avoid delays and problems that may be created by the high influx of participants shortly before the start of the match.
To guarantee public order and safety during this sporting event, hundreds of police officers have been engaged, who will be on the ground to provide assistance and information to citizens and fans, with the aim of ensuring the match runs without incidents and preserving the country's image.
