Public administration, more attractive in 2025 - Number increases, 20 applications for one job position

The Department of Public Administration has published its annual report for 2025, which highlights an increase in interest in employment in public administration, as well as an improvement in the sustainability and professionalism of the civil service.
According to the report, the average number of applicants for each job position reached 20 during 2025, up from 17.55 in 2024. Meanwhile, for the civil service admission procedure, the average number of applicants per position increased to 23.4, compared to 20.3 a year earlier.
DAP estimates that this result is related to the consolidation of the recruitment process, through measures to simplify procedures and increase transparency, using the online recruitment portal, publishing orientation materials on the official website, and participating in job fairs.
The report also shows a significant decline in resignations and dismissals from the civil service. During 2025, 113 resignations were registered, or 19.3% less compared to 2024, when the number was 140. Meanwhile, dismissals fell by 32.8%, from 396 to 266 cases.
There has also been an improvement in the disciplinary aspect. Compared to 2024, disciplinary measures of all types have decreased by 33.3%, while measures such as "Removal from civil service" have decreased by 35.7%. Similarly, measures such as "Suspension from the right to promotion" have been reduced by 20%.
According to the DPA, these indicators reflect the increased accountability and professionalism of civil servants, as well as the strengthening of the attractiveness of public administration.
Another positive indicator remains the level of implementation of final court decisions, where the indicator for the period 2013–2025 has reached 85.76%, reflecting a high and stable level of respect for court decisions.
