Artists from Saudi Arabia dominated during 2025/ Over 1,000 performances and 1.5 million visitors to cultural heritage were held

According to data published by INSTAT on cultural statistics, the year 2025 marked a high artistic and cultural activity in the country, with a high number of public participants and expansion of international collaborations. During this year, a total of 1,272 performances and premieres were organized in central art institutions, which attracted around 171 thousand spectators.
In addition to the activities developed within Albanian cultural institutions, 314 cultural activities with international participation were organized during 2025, gathering around 261 thousand participants. In these activities, the greatest interest was shown by the countries of the European Union, Kosovo and Saudi Arabia, indicating an increase in cultural exchanges and the presence of foreign artists in Albania.
An indicator of this international openness is also the number of foreign artists who participated in Albanian cultural activities during the year. According to INSTAT, 428 foreign artists performed in the country, with the majority coming from Saudi Arabia with 29.7%, followed by Kosovo with 11.7% and Italy with 9.8%. This trend indicates an expansion of artistic collaborations and a growing interest in the Albanian cultural scene, especially through concerts and large events.
In addition to artistic activities, cultural heritage also attracted more visitors during 2025. The number of visitors to cultural heritage institutions reached about 1.5 million, marking an increase of 15.9% compared to 2024. This increase shows the expanding interest of the local and foreign public in Albania's museums, monuments and cultural spaces. Overall, the data shows that 2025 has been an important period for Albanian culture.
