Tourists, fees in hospitals and health centers - Dika: The burden on the state budget is removed, it brings benefits

The high tourist influx, which Albania has been facing for several years, has not only brought more visitors, but also more demand for public services, including healthcare.
During the summer season, emergency rooms, health centers, and hospitals also face cases of foreign tourists needing medical assistance, from minor problems to more specialized interventions.
For this reason, this season a fee system has been established for foreign citizens receiving services in public health institutions. Doctor Qamil Dika explains the benefits of this initiative.
But what will the fees be like for tourists?
As Albania aims to strengthen its profile as a tourist destination, the increase in the number of visitors is also requiring clearer rules for public services.
