January-May, over 193 thousand passengers at the Port of Durres - APD: All structures operating at the port, ready for the summer season
The Durrës Port Authority announces that during the first five months of 2026, a total of 193,428 passengers were processed at the Ferry Terminal, marking an increase of 1% compared to the same period last year.
According to APD data, during this period 81,574 entries were registered in the country, while the number of exits reached 111,854 passengers. The flow of movements through the Port of Durres continues to remain high, confirming its role as the country's main maritime gateway for passenger transport.
With the start of the summer season, the Durres Port Authority announces that all operational structures are fully prepared to cope with the expected increase in the number of passengers. The APD also emphasizes that it is working in close coordination with all agencies and services operating in the port, in order to guarantee a safe, fast and efficient process for passengers.
The figures confirm the continuation of intensive passenger movements in this important transport hub, which remains one of the main points of connection between Albania and countries in the region and beyond.
It is expected that during the summer months the number of passengers will experience a further increase, turning the Port of Durres into one of the points with the highest passenger movement activity in the country.
