Government, agreement with AADF for education - Rama: Standard of excellence from Cambridge

The Ministry of Education has signed an agreement with the Albanian-American Development Foundation to modernize evaluation systems in the new National Agency for Educational Services.
Prime Minister Rama praised the agreement as an essential step in deepening the digital transformation of education and guaranteeing meritocracy in the system.
"Today, we are finally taking this next important step to give technology a significant space again, in the handling of services in the function of pre-university education and higher education. If we consider that in the field of higher education, people deal with matriculations, with registrations of diploma forms, with secondary education calculations and legalizations, for which a total of 52,000 services are provided per year; if we consider that within the framework of state and licensing exams there are 18,000 services per year; if we consider that for state matriculation exams, Olympiads, basic education exams, ''Pisa'' testing, 88,000 services are provided per year and in total all of these together go somewhere around 150,000 - 160,000 services, then it is easy to imagine how extraordinary the step we are taking today is, not simply by making technology available to the Educational Services Center, but by making it available of all those who receive and will receive educational services, a standard of excellence like that of the University of Cambridge.
"This process will now be a fair, transparent, equal process, uninfluenced by anyone, and as was said here, I believe that for all those who reason, a method and a standard that has made a qualitative change in Singapore's higher education, enters Albania today and creates the premises for a much better perspective than what it had before today's day, higher education and education in general in Albania ," said Rama.
This agreement aims to fully align assessment processes with international standards, through the expertise of the University of Cambridge and in accordance with the pace required by the digital age in education.
