Vocational schools, cooperation with business - Xibraku: Profiles are designed

The dynamics of the labor market in recent years have been changing rapidly, which has also changed the orientation of young people and their approach to education.

Vocational schools are now a frequent choice of teenagers, with the aim of having a more secure future.

The deputy director of the "Technical and Economic" high school in Tirana, Valbona Xibraku, says that vocational schools are now designing their profiles based on cooperation with businesses and market needs.

"Students are profiled in the learning profiles of trade, tourist agency, office administration, banking services, etc. All of these are market demands. All of these are market needs and demands. We have a strong cooperation with business to have a more accurate orientation towards needs and demands. We orient these students towards profiles that are market needs. The interest of the students is for all directions. Professional skills make them adapt as best as possible to the market ," says Xibraku.

Xibraku further emphasizes that through the dual system, young people have the opportunity not only to be shaped theoretically, but to touch the market from the beginning of their studies, and also to find work.

"Our focus is ultimately to produce students with a profession, this is the orientation of the future. Businesses not only provide internships, but also make employment contracts. The incentives to open these directions came to us from the market and the dual system has been functioning since the first year. In the second year, students develop internships in businesses ," says Xibraku.

Interest in pursuing these fields is also being shown by students who are completing the 9-year cycle and must choose their future profession.
