Kombinat-Ndroq-Plepa Road/ ARRSH plans two tenders for the reconstruction, the fund limit is almost 3 billion lek

The Albanian Road Authority is expected to open two procurement procedures for the continuation of the reconstruction of the old Kombinat - Ndroq - Plepa road, respectively for lot 2 and lot 3 of this road axis.
According to published data, the limit fund for lot 2 is around 1.13 billion lek, while for lot 3 it reaches around 1.46 billion lek, with a total of almost 3 billion lek. Both procedures are planned to be carried out during this year, while details on the length of the segments that each of them will include are expected to be made public with the opening of the tenders.
Meanwhile, for lot 1 of this axis, the works contract was signed in September 2024. The implementer is the merger of the operators "Arifaj" and "Eurokos Holding", with a value of 567.75 million lek, excluding VAT.
The Kombinat – Ndroq – Plepa road is considered an important connecting axis between Tirana and the southern areas of the country, serving as an alternative to the Tirana – Durrës highway. According to the technical documentation, this axis crosses an area with high residential density and has suffered significant damage over the years, which has also contributed to the reduction in traffic.
The intervention on this road aims to improve traffic conditions and increase road safety, while it is being developed in parallel with the expansion of the Tirana - Durrës highway. In total, the Kombinat - Ndroq - Plepa road axis is about 28 km long.
