AAPSK financed the reconstruction of the GJKKO premises with 104.2 million lekë

The new premises of the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC), inaugurated on Monday, were built thanks to financial support provided by the Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets (AAPSK), within the framework of using the proceeds from seized and confiscated assets to strengthen justice institutions and the fight against organized crime.
The AAPSK has allocated funding worth 104.2 million lek during 2025 through several decisions of the Inter-institutional Committee for Measures against Organized Crime.
Thus, AAPSK has financed the project for the reconstruction of the courtrooms and internal premises of the GJKKO with a total fund of approximately 72 million lek. The financing includes the reconstruction of four courtrooms, common areas, as well as investments in the security and infrastructure of the institution.
Within the framework of this project, specific payments were also made for the reconstruction of the offices of the judges and the chief secretariat, as well as the drafting of the project for the reconstruction of the common areas on floors 0, 1, 2 and 3, worth 27.2 million lek, as well as for the purchase and installation of some security equipment and the improvement of the building's infrastructure worth 5 million lek.
The GJKKO, in the institution's annual report, expressed special gratitude to the AAPSK and Chief Administrator Risena Xhaja, emphasizing that the financial support provided during 2025 was "essential for improving working conditions in the court and for creating more appropriate and dignified environments."
According to the court, this support has directly helped create modern working and security conditions for an institution that deals with issues of particular importance in the fight against corruption and organized crime.
