Rama in Paris at Macron's invitation, focusing on strategic partnership and European integration

Prime Minister Edi Rama is conducting an official visit to Paris today, where he will be received by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, at the Élysée Palace, in the framework of a working lunch between the two leaders.
The visit takes place in the context of the high-level political dialogue between Albania and France, aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership and deepening bilateral cooperation. The discussions are expected to focus on Albania's European integration process, the new approach to European Union enlargement, and preparations for the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara.
The meeting comes after a series of regular contacts between Rama and Macron, who met officially in Paris in April 2024, as well as in Tirana in October 2023 and May 2025, in addition to communications within international forums and telephone conversations.
Albania values France as a key partner in supporting the European perspective of the Western Balkans and the active role of President Macron in promoting a new approach to the region.
The visit to Paris is expected to reaffirm the joint commitment of the two countries to strengthening strategic relations and further advancing Albania's European integration process.
