46% more individuals choose vocational training - AKPA: Over 6,700 citizens benefited during five months

Interest in vocational training in the country continues to grow. According to data published by the National Employment and Skills Agency, during the period January-May 2026, a total of 6,781 individuals attended vocational training programs, marking an increase of 46% compared to the same period last year.
Statistics show that women and girls continue to be the largest group attending these programs. During the first five months of the year, 3,784 women and girls were professionally trained, a figure that represents an increase of 47% compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, according to data from AKPA, 3,480 young people up to the age of 29 have completed the vocational training program, or 25% more than in the same period in 2025.
On the other hand, vocational training programs have continued to support groups in need. Official data shows that 562 members of the economic assistance scheme have benefited from vocational training, marking an increase of 3.7% compared to the previous year.
Likewise, 104 members of the Roma and Egyptian communities were included in these programs, an increase of 13%, while 57 people with disabilities attended vocational training courses, a figure 33% higher than a year ago.
According to the National Employment and Skills Agency, these results reflect the expansion of access to vocational training programs and the increased interest of citizens in acquiring new skills, in line with labor market demands.
The objective remains to strengthen human capital through professional training, increase employment opportunities and guarantee equal opportunities for all categories of citizens, with the aim of sustainable and long-term integration into the labor market.
