'Financing up to 200 thousand lekë' - The National Scheme 2026 supports the repopulation of waters with fish!

Entities operating in the field of aquaculture will have the opportunity this year to benefit from financial support for the repopulation of inland waters with fish stocks, within the framework of the 2026 National Scheme.
The Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development (AZHBR) has announced that the measure aims to support the increase in fish stocks in lakes, reservoirs and other aquatic ecosystems, contributing to the sustainable development of the fishing and aquaculture sector.
Under the terms of the scheme, beneficiaries can receive funding of 50% of the value of expenses documented with a tax invoice for the purchase of fish fry. Financial support for each applicant can reach up to 200 thousand lekë.
This intervention aims not only to preserve and enrich fish stocks in inland waters, but also to strengthen the economic activity of operators investing in this sector. Experts estimate that restocking the waters has a positive impact on maintaining ecological balance and increasing aquaculture production capacities.
AZHBR calls on all interested parties to apply to the relevant structures and benefit from the support offered. For detailed information on the criteria and application procedures, farmers and entities can contact Agropikas or regional agricultural extension offices.
The National Scheme 2026 includes a broad support package for the agricultural and rural sector, with 9 financing measures and 3 investment schemes, oriented towards increasing production, improving competitiveness and sustainable management of natural resources.
