Elections in Kosovo cost 10.9 million euros - Over 18 million euros were spent on the last two early elections

While political parties are calculating the costs of possible coalitions after the early general elections in Kosovo, the state budget is calculating the costs for this process. At the request of the Central Election Commission (CEC), 10 million 887 thousand 186 euros were available for this process.
Taking into account the early elections at the end of December 2025, the state budget in Kosovo has spent a total of over 18 million euros. For the elections held on December 28, 2025, the planned budget was 11.5 million euros, while the actual expenses, according to the CEC's preliminary reports, were around 7.4 million euros. Meanwhile, the elections of February 9, 2025 cost the Kosovo budget around 7.1 million euros.
The preliminary voter list for the June 7 elections had 2 million 92 thousand 202 voters, or 15,912 more voters compared to the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo, held on December 28.
The number of young voters who would vote for the first time in the snap elections on June 7 was 22,131, of which: 16,933 voters are considered young people who, after the Assembly elections (28.12.2025), have reached the age of 18 and would vote for the first time in the snap elections for the Assembly of Kosovo.
Of these: 8,755 (51.70%) were male and 8,178 (48.30%) were female, while 5,198 voters are considered registered for the first time in the Central Civil Registry between two elections, or voters who have restored Kosovo citizenship.
