DPT: Businesses and institutions must implement cashless payments with POS/POI by May 30
The General Directorate of Taxes has reminded that there are still 17 days left from the legal deadline for fulfilling the obligation to accept cashless payments through POS/POI devices.
This obligation includes accommodation structures, transport services, as well as public institutions and companies, which must have implemented the electronic payment system by May 30, 2026.
The Tax Administration emphasizes that the use of cashless payments aims to provide faster service to citizens, more transparency and increased formalization of the economy.
Taxes call on the entities involved to fulfill the obligation within the deadline set by law.
