New parking system in Vlora - 14.2 million lek fund, investment for traffic management

The Municipality of Vlora has announced the opening of the competition for the implementation of the parking system for “Vlora Parking”. The limit fund foreseen for this project is 14 million and 294 thousand lekë. This project aims to modernize and manage urban parking spaces in Vlora.
According to the document in the Public Procurement Agency, this project will include four main parking points in the city: parking near the “Flamurtari” stadium, parking at the Navy School, parking on the second ring road “Lungomare”, as well as parking near the sports fields in the Pyllit i Sodës area. These spaces will be equipped with an integrated and automated system, to increase efficiency and control access for vehicles.
At the core of this project lies the construction of a central software for the centralized management of the parking system, for parking administration. This program will consist of a series of interconnected modules, which will enable the complete administration of entrances and exits, tariffs, users and equipment in the field.
One of the key elements of this system is security. The software to be built will meet international standards for processing card payments, while data will be stored in encrypted databases to guarantee confidentiality.
Another important component is the flexibility of the system. It will allow for the customization of tickets, cards and access for different categories of users, as well as the application of different tariffs depending on schedules, days or special events. It is also envisaged the possibility of applying discounts or free parking for certain events and occasions, through a dedicated interface.
According to the document, the aim of this investment is to significantly improve traffic and parking management in the city, reducing urban chaos. The project will directly impact the improvement of services for citizens and tourists, especially during the summer season when the flow of vehicles in Vlora increases significantly.
