Prime Minister Rama: Albania enters another level of cooperation in NATO
Prime Minister Edi Rama kicked off the "Flasim" podcast with his official visit to Germany and Estonia, focused on European integration, Euro-Atlantic security, and technological cooperation.
In Aachen, Germany, Rama participated in the prestigious ceremony of the “Charlemagne Prize”, one of the most important European awards for personalities who contribute to the unification and future of Europe. During this ceremony, former President of the European Central Bank, Mario Draghi, was also honored.
"I had the pleasure and honor to once again be part of the group of honorary guests of the prestigious Charlemagne Prize ceremony," said Prime Minister Rama.
The head of government then traveled to Tallinn, Estonia, where he participated in the Lennart Meri International Conference, one of the most important forums for security, diplomacy, and transatlantic relations.
One of the highlights of the visit was Albania's official membership in the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, the alliance's specialized structure in cyber defence. "A strategic step for Albania itself as one of the contributors to the alliance's cyber security, which is now placed on another level of cooperation within the alliance," Rama declared.
According to the Prime Minister, cooperation between Albania and Estonia will be further intensified in the field of technology, digitalization and artificial intelligence.
"Albania is viewed with respect and the Estonian friends were very informed about Albania's technological and digital developments," he said, adding that both countries have an interest in increasing communication and cooperation in the innovation sector.
