77.7 million lek for the "Selitë e Vjetër" road - Tirana Municipality opens the competition, full infrastructure intervention is foreseen

The Municipality of Tirana has announced the opening of the competition for the construction and reconstruction of the "Selitë e Vjetër" street in the capital. According to the document at the Public Procurement Agency, the limit fund foreseen for the realization of this investment is 77 million and 714 thousand lekë.
Referring to the document, the “Selitë e Vjetër” road is in a complete lack of road infrastructure. The segment has a length of about 1.1 kilometers and a width that varies from 3 to 5 meters, while it lies on a hilly terrain.
It is also emphasized that the intervention will not be limited to paving the road, but will include a series of infrastructure works aimed at the complete transformation of the area. The investment is designed to create contemporary standards of urban infrastructure, including the arrangement of the road body, the construction of sidewalks, the installation of public lighting, as well as the construction of white and black water sewerage networks.
Meanwhile, during the project design phase, special attention was paid to the integration of all necessary infrastructure elements. The main goal of the intervention is to systematize the residential block and create better conditions for the community living in this area, through a modern and functional infrastructure.
One of the main interventions will be the expansion of the road route to an average width of about 5 meters. As part of the investment, interventions will be carried out in all road layers, starting from the subbase to the asphalt layers, to guarantee the stability of the axis. In addition, a sewage network for white and black waters will be built, and manholes and discharge pipes will be installed for the management of surface waters.
The investment will bring significant improvement in living conditions for residents, through paving the road according to standards, reconstruction of sidewalks and construction of supporting infrastructure, the Public Procurement Agency document states.
