Applications for agricultural schemes postponed by 10 days - Salla: Interest has increased in recent days. Cooperation with Kosovo for the EU market
While today was the deadline for farmers to apply to benefit from national agricultural schemes for 2026, Minister of Agriculture Andi Salla announced an extension of 10 days. According to Salla, there have been nearly 40,000 applications so far.

"Applications for national schemes in agriculture are being postponed by 10 days. For farmers who have not had time to apply. We have noticed an increase in interest in recent days," said Salla.
In a joint press conference with their Kosovo counterparts, the Ministers announced two important agreements in the field of technology transfer and innovation in agriculture and product marketing. The objective is joint competition in the European market.
"The cooperation aims to increase the competitiveness of products and strengthen them in the European market, as well as strengthen professional capacities," said Salla.
"Our main trading partner is Albania and we are ready to cooperate. Our objective is an integrated agri-food market in the EU market and to be complementary and our other objective is to produce with quality," said Armend Muja, Minister of Agriculture of Kosovo.
On the other hand, the Minister of Agriculture was also asked about the draft law on the sale of agricultural land to foreigners, saying that it has not yet been concluded, as well as about the negotiations for the opening of IPRD funds, where he emphasized that the signs are positive.
