"The increase in oil prices, with chain effects" - Civici: Albania

The increase in oil prices in international markets will inevitably be reflected in the domestic hydrocarbon retail market.

Economic expert Adrian Civici stated in an interview with TV Scan that it is important for the market to reflect price increases or decreases in time and not to be abused.

Civici also states that Albania could be affected by two factors: increased domestic inflation, as a result of rising oil prices, and imported inflation.

London's Brent crude, the global benchmark, has risen by about $10 per barrel since the conflict began and is trading at around $83 per barrel.

Meanwhile, refined oil on the London Stock Exchange, which is taken as a reference by hydrocarbon importers in Albania, has increased from $730 per ton, before the conflict, to around $1,075 on Thursday.
