Rama: The tax for the second home will be higher!
During a discussion with mayors in Durrës, the country's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, warned that new reference prices for properties will be announced in a matter of days or weeks.
He emphasized that this process will result in higher taxes on second-hand property. According to Rama, this will help municipalities generate more revenue.
"In the meantime, I have one thing to add and the minister can perhaps fill me in. In a matter of days or weeks, the new reference prices will be issued. They will also have another new element, that the tax for the second home will be higher than for the first home. So, municipalities, especially those on the coast, will have an increased income from this process since many people on the coast have second homes ," he said.
