Works on the Saranda Bypass are progressing at a rapid pace/ Investment of 34

The construction works for the Saranda Bypass continue at an intensive pace, while the project is taking shape day by day. With a length of about 5 kilometers, the bypass will create a new entrance and exit for the city, transforming the way of moving towards one of the most frequented tourist destinations in the country. This investment will significantly facilitate the circulation of vehicles, reduce traffic on existing roads and provide faster and safer access, especially during the summer season, when Saranda welcomes thousands of visitors from Albania and abroad.

One of the most important works of the project is the 750-meter-long tunnel, an engineering solution that increases safety standards and significantly improves mobility on this axis. With the completion of the bypass, the entrance to Saranda is expected to be more organized, avoiding traffic jams that occur at the peak of the tourist season. Visitors will have easier and faster access to the city, beaches and tourist areas, while residents will benefit from a freer circulation in everyday life.

The Saranda Bypass is an investment that not only modernizes the road infrastructure, but also strengthens the city's tourist potential, making it more accessible, more functional and more attractive for every visitor. The cost of this project is 34 million euros. The traffic study conducted by consultants shows that during the summer period, an average of 25,000 vehicles circulate in and out of the city per day, turning Qafë e Gjashtës into a problematic point in terms of vehicle traffic.
