How many Albanians live in Canada? Second in the region for the number of immigrants, the new generation leads

A number of Albanians have chosen Canada as one of their favorite destinations to build their lives and future, turning it into a focal point of the Albanian diaspora. According to data published by the Canadian Census, there are about 42,000 Albanian immigrants living in this country, a significant number considering the large geographical distance that separates the two countries.
The majority of them are first-generation immigrants, numbering around 28,000, indicating that this community is relatively young and concentrated mainly on those who have immigrated in recent decades. The second-generation Albanians in Canada are represented by around 11,500 people, while the third generation remains small in number, with only 1,370 individuals.
If we compare it with other communities in the region in Canada, it is noted that Albanians are not among the largest groups, however their presence is stable. Serbia turns out to have the highest number of immigrants in this country with a full 93 thousand citizens, while Macedonians constitute a considerable community with about 39 thousand and 440 people. Bosnia and Herzegovina also has a high number of immigrants, with about 28 thousand citizens living in Canada. On the other hand, the smallest communities are those of Kosovo and Montenegro, where according to the census, about 3,700 and 4,300 people live respectively.
These figures show not only the major demographic shifts that have occurred over the past few decades, but also the way Canada has transformed into a destination for immigrants from the Balkans, offering not only better economic opportunities, but also a suitable terrain for further integration and development.
