Priority areas in Puka, Lezha and Bulqiza approved/ Demo: 500 applications so far for the Mountain Package
The government today approved the inclusion of three more municipalities, Puka, Lezha and Bulqiz, in the Mountain Package, further expanding this initiative for the development of mountain areas.
The Minister of State for Local Government, Ervin Demo, announced to the media after the government meeting that more than half of the municipalities in the country are now part of this package, having approved priority areas for development.
He informed that the number of requests submitted by the territory within the Mountain Package has reached around 500, which shows high interest from citizens and businesses.
According to Demos, several municipalities are in the final phase of reviewing the requests, such as Shkodra and Skrapari, which are completing the 45-day review period. After this phase, the requests will be forwarded to the respective municipal councils for approval.
The Mountain Package is considered a priority government initiative for the sustainable development of mountainous territories, aiming to promote investment, local economic development, and improve living conditions for communities in these areas.
